Abstract:Cobalt nanoparticles (Co-NP's) were used as an eco-friendly catalyst in a green approach format in water at room temperature to accomplish an efficient chemoselective reduction of p-nitroaniline. The product of this chemical reduction, p-phenylenediamine, is an attractive intermediate in the preparation of polymers, hair dyes, and rubber products.
