Τεχνοοικονομική Ανάλυση Δικτύων Επόμενης Γενιάς

Abstract

In this thesis a methodological framework for the technoeconomic analysis of telecommunication networks is presented and used in order to address problems concerning the deployment on next generation access networks (NGN).In the first part NGN are presented with a series of architectures based on copper network, fiber network, Free Space Optical (FSO) network and hybrid solutions. In addition Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) is addressed. Next issues concerning the technoeconomic evaluation are presented such as indexes for the evaluation of investments, discounted cash flow analysis, real option analysis and risk analysis.In the second part of the thesis the methodology is to address several case studies for NGN deployments using both fixed (FTTx) and wireless (FSO) architectures. In order to clarify the uncertainty Real Option analysis is used along with risk and sensitivity analysis. The effects of FMC on an integrated telecom provider are also examined. Finally a System of System approach for the study of cost concerning FTTx network deployment is introduced.
