γδTFH cells promote B cell maturation and antibody production in neuroblastoma

Abstract: BackgroundPrevious studies have shown that γδ TFH cells are capable of modulating antibody production in immunized and infected mouse model. In recent studies, human γδ TFH cells are shown to contribute to the activation of humoral immunity and promote the maturation of B cells. However, little information is available on their involvement in neuroblastoma (NB) pathogenesis.ResultsIn the present study, the frequency of γδ TFH cells in 74 NB patients was significantly higher compared with that in 60 healthy con… Show more

“…Besides, B lymphocytes and T follicular helper cells also produce a marked effect in the microenvironment. Wenjun et al reported that the subtype γδTFH cells were positively correlated with serum total immunoglobulin G and plasma cells in NB patients, and all the components mentioned earlier were significantly higher than in normal children (Mou et al, 2017). Last but not least, M2 macrophage was reported to be regulated by the mTOR pathway, an important autophagy-related pathway (Chen et al, 2020).…”

“…TFh plays an important role in humoral immunity ( Eivazi et al, 2016 ). A previous study in NB showed that γδ TFh cells might facilitate the maturation of B cells and the production of antibodies ( Mou et al, 2017 ). In studies of colorectal and breast cancer, infiltrating TFh cells have also been found to be positively correlated with prognosis ( Bindea et al, 2013 ; Gu-Trantien et al, 2013 ).…”

“…By upregulating the protein and gene levels of GATA-3 and downregulating the protein and gene levels of T-bet in the lung tissue, the modified decoction could treat lung tissue inflammation in COPD rats and reduce the immune disorder. [146,147] Moreover, it can promote the release of IL-12 and IFN-γ by Th1 cells and inhibit the expression of IL-4, IL-13 and their receptors IL-4RA1/IL-13RA1, thus increasing IL-12 and IFN-γ and reducing IL-9, IL-4, and IL-13. The modified decoction shows protective effects on the structure of bronchioles, thus protecting the lung function in COPD.…”
