Abstract

The present PhD Thesis studies the bio-ecology of the major peach (Prunus persica) microlepidoptera species Anarsia lineatella Zeller (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae), Grapholitha molesta Busk (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), Adoxophyes orana Fisher von Röslerstamm (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) and their control in terms of integrated pest management (IPM). Laboratory studies were conducted to assess the effect of constant temperatures (15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 o C) on life history traits of Anarsia lineatella (Zeller) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae). Developmental rate, survival, longevity and fecundity were determined in environmental chambers in individuals reared on peach twigs. Temperature dependent relationships of various developmental events were characterized evaluating several models.
