“…A 3 Fe[MoO 4 ] 2 [Mo 2 O 7 ] with A=K,Cs. [6][7][8] In general, [X 2 O 7 ] nÀ anions preferentially exist in a bent and staggered conformation, which has been extensively studied for the family of disilicates. [9] For X=P, [10,11] Cr, [12,13] V [13] and Ge [14] the different conformations D 3d , D 3h , and C 2v , respectively, were controversially discussed in terms of structural symmetry in relation to spectroscopic assignments of fundamental modes (IR/Raman).…”

“…Interesting aspects of the A 2 MoO 4 ·MoO 3 series are that they exhibit low melting points (below 600 °C) and increasing electrical/ionic conductivity (1D diffusion of O 2– ) with the A-cation size . In contrast to the crystalline phase A 2 MoO 4 ·MoO 3 , ,,, discrete [Mo 2 O 7 ] 2– anions exist in the liquid state of K 2 MoO 4 ·MoO 3 . , In the presence of Fe III , for example, α- and β-K 3 Fe[MoO 4 ] 2 [Mo 2 O 7 ] , can be obtained. For A = Cs and iron, mostly complex ortho-molybdates CsFe(MoO 4 ) 2 , and Cs 2 Fe 2 (MoO 4 ) 3 , Cs 4 Fe(MoO 4 ) 3 , or CsFe 5 (MoO 4 ) 7 are reported.…”
