Show more

“…Another aspect of these investigations is the sorbent potentialities of this organoclay compound. polymer PVP have been intensively investigated (32)(33)(34)(35)(36)(37)(38)(39). It has been generally shown that SDS-PVP micelle-like aggregates are built at a free SDS concentration lower than the critical micelle concentration (CMC).…”

“…Furthermore, peculiar complexation properties between PVP and anionic surfactants (32)(33)(34)(35)(36)(37)(38) have also been widely used in a variety of indus-trial applications. In particular, PVP and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) are introduced in the formulation of nonphosphate detergents (39). It must be noted that the formation of PVP-surfactant aggregates with the acquired anionic character modifies the adsorption behavior of PVP on various mineral oxide surfaces such as alumina (11)(12)(13), titanium dioxide (13,16), and iron oxide (17).…”
