ZPD Technological Learning Environment for Mathematics Learning Based on Computational Thinking Skills and Tpack for Professional Prospective Mathematics Teachers

Abstract

This research aims to answer several basic questions, such as how CT can be defined in the curriculum, whether it is a key skill, and how to integrate CT into learning. This research, as an innovation related to this problem, will develop a technology prototype learning environment for mathematics-computation playing skills using the Smart Technology-based Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) approach. This research is a type of research and development using a fourdimensional model. This research instrument uses a learning environment and motivation questionnaire and interviews to obtain data on learning experience and computational thinking abilities. The sampling technique uses random sampling. The development results show that the product developed is valid according to expert opinion, in the good, attractive, and feasible category, so that it can be implemented. In general, prospective teachers are not sufficiently prepared to conduct CT-based mathematics learning in the classroom. The implications of this research can be used as consideration for further research on the readiness of mathematics education teachers to integrate CT into the learning process.
