Zoneamento agroclimático da cultura da canola para a mesorregião do Triângulo Mineiro e Alto Paranaíba – MG

Abstract

The production of oleaginous species in Brazil currently represents the basis of biodiesel production and its share in the national energy matrix, this productivity being a derivative of the productive capacity of regions of interest, their edaphoclimatic and market aptitudes. Canola (Brassica napus L. var oleífera) is a winter crop spread worldwide due to the quality of the oil produced and its economic viability and values compared to that of soybeans. The lack of studies that support and characterize areas suitable for planting canola in Brazil directly influences the dissemination of culture nationally, with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply being responsible for the elaboration of agroclimatic zoning of plant species in Brazil. The present study deals with the elaboration of the agroclimatic zoning of canola in the Triangulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba mesoregion with latitude-19.183 and longitude-48.331, located in the state of Minas Gerais, through the creation of digital climate models and processing of soil and and the textural and pedological data of the region of interest. With results obtained from the spatialization of climatic data such as the monthly average temperatures and interpolation of the evapotranspirative capacity of the region of interest, as well as its textural classification and determination of the monthly and annual mean water deficit, in cartographic operations carried out in a geo-referenced environment were satisfactorily fit the areas suitable for planting canola, with limitations between mandatory irrigation or irrigation.
