Handling, Storage, and Precautions : extremely hygroscopic; decomposed by water to ZrOCl 2 and HCl. Reagent causes burns, and is harmful if inhaled or swallowed or if it comes in contact with skin. It is stable at high temperatures under N 2 , H 2 , or O 2 . Use in a fume hood.
