Zincke‐Suhl Reaction

Abstract: The preparation of 4‐methyl‐4‐trichloromethyl cyclohexa‐2,5‐dienone by treatment of p ‐cresol with aluminum chloride in carbon tetrachloride is generally referred to as the Zincke–Suhl reaction.
