Abstract: Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is a highly persistent organic pollutant of global concern. A novel nanocomposite composed of ZnO nanoparticles and citric acid-modified g-C3N4 was synthesized by ball milling process. The synthesized nanocomposite was more efficient than pure ball-milled ZnO nanoparticles for PFOA elimination under visible light irradiation.
