Zinc Metal at a New ZnO Nanoparticles Modified Carbon Paste Electrode: A Cyclic Voltammetric Study

Abstract: A new carbon paste electrode modified with ZnO nanoparticles was prepared and used to study the electro oxidation of zinc ions in solution by cyclic voltammetry (CV) method. The modified electrode displayed strong resolving function for the overlapping voltammetric response of zinc into one welldefined peak. The potential difference between Epa and Epc was > 200 mV, the range of which referred to the quasi-reversible mechanism. The kinetic of electrode was studied in the range of temperature 15-30 °C. The data… Show more

“…Chronoamperometry gives a better signal-to-noise ratio in comparison to other amperometric techniques [20–24], and the use of a thin slab of fluids mechanically clamped to the electrodes is more resistant to vibration than analysis in a larger volume of solution. For faradaic diffusion-limited currents, the current-time response is described by the Cottrell equation.…”

“…A cyclic voltammetry that can be reversed in a pinch. These parameters were obtained after observing that the curve had shifted upward and the slope had increased, indicating that reaction tacking was occurring on the electrode surface, where the temperature increased while the solvent temperature stayed constant [32,34]. We found the scan rate rose, the beaks shifted to the negative side, indicating a clear signal using a carbon past electrode (working electrode) covered with Fe3O4 nanoparticles.…”
