Zeolitization of Sewage Sludge Ash With a Fusion Method

Abstract: The study shows the results of zeolitization of municipal sewage sludge ash with the indirect fusion method followed by a hydrothermal method. The zeolitization of sewage sludge ash was conducted at the melting temperature of 550 o C and the melting time of 60 minutes, crystallization temperatures of 60 o C and 90 o C, crystallization time of 6 hours and the SSA:NaOH ratio of 1:1.8; 1:1.4. The research of modified sewage sludge ashes included the observation of changes of ash particles surface and the identifi… Show more

“…The simplest measure is to sum the absolute value of each point in the difference plot. This measure is similar to one of the three measures (the Manhattan metric) defined in the work of Latosińska et al 13 , although the magnitudes of our measure are 40 clearly different; we note that the details of their procedure are yet to be published. Table 4 calculates this quantity for the 10 difference plots of 2c4n.…”

“…The latter also examined the effects of temperature on the fingerprint plots of anthracene and noted "The plots are very similar and represent a challenge to any data 45 mining technique". Latfosińska and coworkers 13 also found small differences between the fingerprint plots of the polymorphs of 3,3′-diindolylmethane determined at several temperatures and defined several measures to quantify the differences. 50 When the plots are very similar, determining the differences can be a challenge for humans as well as machines.…”

“…In addition, it supplied good quality of nutrients (Ayeni & Adetunji, 2010;Lasmini, Kusuma, Santoso, & Abadi, 2015). Natural zeolites were alumina-silicates complex structured minerals containing several earth metals such as Na, Ca, K, Mg, and Fe (Nizami et al, 2016;Rabai, Ahmed, & Kasim, 2012), as adsorbents and ion exchangers, remove heavy metals (Latosińska, 2016). As a soil amendment, zeolite had beneficial effects on the growth and yield of crops (Safiul Azam et al, 2013;Theofanoudis, Petropoulos, & Antoniadis, 2015).…”
