This study aims to find out (1) the procedure of distributing productive infaq to empower the SMEs’ economy and (2) the effectiveness of productive infaq-based economy empowerment for SMEs growth by BAZNAS through Sharia Financial Institutions in Pekalongan. This research applies a qualitative method using a phenomenology approach, where BAZNAS serves as the primary data. During data collection, this research uses triangulation: observation, interviews, and documentation. Additionally, the sample was selected based on a purposive sampling technique. This study finds out that productive infaq is allocated by sharia financial institutions. Also, the distribution of ZIS (alms and infaq) through the non-profit institutions does not apply profit sharing between BAZNAS and the institutions because it is under qardul hasan. BAZNAS utilizes the productive infaq to increase the capital for business people. If the business has achieved its targets and objectives, the program can be found to be effective. Infaq of Sharia Financial Institutions in 2017-2018 reached 160 million IDR that has been distributed to the SMEs. As a result, the distribution can be considered very effective and may need improvement to get economic growth in Pekalongan.

This study aims to find out how the strategy of distribution implemented by Muhammadiyah Zakat Management Institution (Lazismu) in the entrepreneurship empowerment program and zakat distribution program for zakat recipients. The method in this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation, with validity using a triangulation model. Sampling was focused on the distribution of the entrepreneurship empowerment program for the 2021 period. The sample studied was the zakat manager and 8 zakat recipients of the empowerment program. This study shows that financial assistance in the form of zakat funds can increase the income and economy of most recipients. Accordingly, this program helped the community to improve the business and realize the main goal of productive zakat, namely increasing the economy of zakat recipients and adding new zakat givers and new zakat recipients. Furthermore, the main objective is to develop and advance the economy of the poor zakat recipients. The solution offered regarding the problems faced by Zakat recipients is to maximize the role of the Leaders in monitoring and empowering zakat recipients on an ongoing basis. In addition, monitoring and supervision are carried out by holding regular recitations for zakat recipients

Penelitian ini sangat penting untuk dilakukan dikarenakan perlu dilakukan sebuah penelitian yang mendalam dengan menggabungkan kajian teoritis dan lapangan mengenai konsep-konsep ekonomi syariah dengan instrumen distribusi zakat sebagai pengentasan kemiskinan yang ada di provinsi Aceh. Potensi yang cukup besar di karenakan mayoritas penduduk Aceh merupakan penganut agama Islam.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat peroblematika dalam pendistribusian zakat yang di lakukan oleh Baitul Mal Aceh sebagai uapaya dalam pengentasan kemiskinan. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuliatatif deskriptif, yang dimana di awali dari studi literature dan kemudian studi lapangan dari beberapa organisasi pengelolah zakat, akademisi, pemerintah dan praktisi. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling yang di lakukan dalam penerapan studi lapangan di mana studi lapangan dalam penelitian ini adalah mewawancarai para pakar yang expert dalam bidang zakat yang ada di Baitul Mal Aceh. Penelitian ini akan menjelaskan problematika yang terjadi dalam pendistribusian Zakat Terhadap Masyarakat Miskin di Provinsi Aceh. Hasil penelitian diharapkan bahwa melalui problematika pendistribusian zakat akan meningkatan taraf hidup masyarakat yang baik dan mampu menjadi solusi
