Abstract: Introduction: Hyperparathyroidism (HPT) is the increased secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH) from the parathyroid glands (GP). Surgical treatment remains the only one capable of curing the disease in primary hyperparathyroidism (PHP) as medical management eventually fails.
