Abstract:Alternative designs for wideband compact electric-inductive-capacitive (ELC) inclusions, which can be used to construct metamaterials with desired high permittivity over a wide frequency band, are proposed and analyzed in this letter. To design a compact ELC inclusion, we incorporate a meander line (ML) into the conventional ELC structure. This helps to increase the equivalent inductance, which could lower the resonant frequency of the structure effectively. To expand the operating bandwidth, we introduce incr… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
