Japanese universities are popular destinations for international students. A lot of efforts have been made to provide supporting services and activities to international students such as Japanese classes, counseling and consultation, job hunting and career education, exchange events, summer school, culture experience tours etc. These activities bring satisfaction to international students, which is contributed indirectly as a pulling factor for attracting international students into Japan. However, little has been known about the approaches used by different universities for supporting international students as not many reports are published in English regarding this topic. This study investigates the variety of on campus supporting services and activities provided to international students in Japanese universities and satisfaction of international students as recipients of these services. The literature for review was mainly collected from Japanese sources using Google Scholar. Data was reviewed qualitatively by comparative analysis, comparing approaches applied by different universities with regards to the elements of 300,000 international students plan and other pull factors. The results showed specific approaches, results in providing campus supporting services by different institutions. The results also imply obstacles and potential solutions to the Japanese universities to attract international students.

YouTube has been recognized as an important information source for the millennial generation. This paper aims to identify the factors affecting Malaysian higher education students' acceptance of YouTube for Islamic information acquisition and to investigate if any notable distinction that exists between the students' path coefficients in Islamic academic discipline and the other disciplines. Employing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model (UTAUT) as its theoretical foundation, data were collected by distributing a self-administered survey to 795 students actively using YouTube for information seeking. Partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) and multi-group analysis (MGA) in SmartPLS 3.2.7 software were used to analyze the data. Three constructs of the UTAUT model, performance expectancy, effort expectancy and social influences, were found to significantly and positively influence behavioural intention to use YouTube for Islamic information acquisition in both groups of students. Facilitating conditions demonstrates significantly negative relationship with YouTube acceptance for students in other academic disciplines than for Islamic academic discipline. Additionally, the MGA analysis' findings suggest that determinants' factor coefficients of YouTube acceptance for Islamic information acquisition are not significantly different between students in Islamic academic disciplines and the other disciplines. This study validates the UTAUT model to understand the determinant of social media application usage in a new study context.

Various research results concerned with flipped classrooms reported to mandate more benefits to form a positive attitude, self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning and affect students' abilities and skills. This research, which involved three studies, aims to develop a flipped classroom strategy model for virtual biology learning. The research was conducted in three high schools and the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Semarang, at the beginning of the new normal habit of the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis results of study 1 were applied in designing study 2, and the results of study 2 were applied to develop the model in study 3. The results showed that the flipped strategy was proven to improve skills employing information technology to benefit learning and student participation. The flipped strategy is proven to have better effects on learning outcomes and students' self-efficacy. The strategy model, arranged with asynchronous-synchronous-asynchronous in scientific literacy-based learning syntax and practiced with flipped e-learning instructions, is an ideal flipped classroom model. It is well appreciated by validators, teachers, and students and has proven to function well.
