“…The career expectations from next generation constitute another barrier to vocational preference (Creed, Conlon, & Zimmer-Gembeck, 2007), where the parents/elders are likely to subconsciously feed the habitus of the progeny, influencing the career decisions of the youth. In yet another research, Brown (2015) has reported a resistance to out-migration among graduating youth as an internal barrier to career growth. Borne out of unsuccessful attempts to move away from home to bigger cities, this internal barrier induces youth to prefer staying back within city despite a compromise to career.…”
