Xanthine oxidoreductase mediates genotoxic drug‐induced autophagy and apoptosis resistance by uric acid accumulation and TGF‐β‐activated kinase 1 (TAK1) activation

Abstract: Autophagy is a highly conserved cellular process that profoundly impacts the efficacy of genotoxic chemotherapeutic drugs. TGF‐β‐activated kinase 1 (TAK1) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates several signaling pathways involved in inducing autophagy and suppressing cell death.
