AbstractsUpper and lower bounds for the minimal critical energy E of the Hartree operator for helium are calculated. We show that a Ritz analogous procedure for the calculation of the upper bounds converges to the exact value. The lower bound to E yields that the ground state EH of the helium atom is strictly lower than 2E.Nous avons consider6 I'optrateur d'Hartree pour l'atome d'htlium e t calcult des bornes inftrieures et suptrieures pour I'bnergie critique E . Nous demontrons que la mtthode pour calculer des bornes suptrieures converge. Utilisant la borne inftrieure nous avons obtenus que I'tnergie minimale d'htlium soit moins que 2E.Fur die kleinste kritische Energie E des Hartree-Operators des Heliumatoms werden untere und obere Schranken berechnet. Es wird gezeigt, daB ein Ritziihnliches Verfahren zur Berechnung der oberen Schranken konvergiert. Aus der Kenntnis der unteren Schranke zu E folgt, daB 2E echt grof3er ist als der Grundzustand EH des Heliumatoms.
