X‐ray propagation through single crystals in an anomalous scattering range and determination of permittivity tensor components by transmission experiments

Abstract: Simple equations are obtained which enable one to describe x-ray propagation through single crystals in an anomalous scattering range when Bragg diffraction does not take place and the angle between the initial x-ray wave and crystal surface significantly exceeds the critical value. Using the results obtained we develop a method for determining the components of the permittivity tensors of non-gyrotropic crystals of arbitrary symmetry by transmission experiments.
