X-ray fluorescence determination of trace elements in carbonaceous rock and fluorite ore using S8 TIGER spectrometer

Show more

“…The samples were crushed, split, and pulverized to a powder. Major element oxide (SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , Fe 2 O 3 , TiO 2 , MnO, MgO, CaO, K 2 O, Na 2 O, P 2 O 5 ) and trace element (Ni, Cu, Ga, Pb, V, Cr, Co, Ba, La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Ta, Sc, Cs, As, Br, Nb, Zr, Y, Sr, Rb, Th, U) concentrations were analyzed by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (XRF) with an S8 TIGER (Bruker AXS GmbH, Germany) X-ray spectrometer using SPECTRAplus software after the procedures described in [26,27]. This method was chosen because of the low cost and high speed of the total analytical procedure, compared to other multielement analytical methods.…”
