X-ray fluorescence analysis of superconductor YBa2Cu3O7-.DELTA. by glass bead - FP method.

Abstract: In the accurate elemental analysis of ceramic powders by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry with few or no available standards, the glass bead technique combinedwith the fundamental parameter (FP) methodhas been found to be suitable. As an example of ceramic powderanalysis, we determined the amounts of Y203, BaO, and CuO contained in a superconductor YBa2Cu307_with this combinedmethodThe results were as follows:(1 ) Satisfactory glass beads with near-infinite thickness to both incident and fluorescent X-rays were … Show more

“…The intensity/2 theta scans of the samples prior and after exposing to the oxygen plasma are identical. X‐ray fluorescence spectroscopy is a common method to investigate oxide based HT superconductors 8896. Unfortunately O‐K α spectra of Y‐Ba‐Cu‐O species do not exhibit as large changes as those observed for other superconducting cuprates 95…”

“…X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy is a common method to investigate oxide based HT superconductors. [88][89][90][91][92][93][94][95][96] Unfortunately O-K α spectra of Y-Ba-Cu-O species do not exhibit as large changes as those observed for other superconducting cuprates. [95] The papers published by Andermann et al and Butorin et al [88,89,95] discuss the local electronic structure at O-sites in YBCO superconductors on the basis of O-K α spectra obtained at various excitation energies across the O-1s absorption edge.…”
