Abstract: Wuhan Diary: Dispatches from a Quarantine City is a literary work composed by writer Fang Fang during the lockdown. The content combines an account of the city and its residents in the fight against the virus, with a political commentary about the many gaps in the official narrative. Overall, Fang’s diary is a clear and honest account of the diverse souls populating today’s China. The article explores the book’s origins, circulation, and the impact of censorship on the author’s life.
