Wpływ oczyszczalni ścieków na redukcję zanieczyszczeń odprowadzanych w czeskiej części dorzecza Odry

Abstract: Surface water pollution is referred to be a problem in the entire Odra river basin. In sub-basins, an insufficient degree of wastewater treatment has been identified as a major problem – in relation to the best available technologies and environmental objectives of Directive 2000/60/EC. The grey water footprint indicator was used to express the influence of point sources of pollution (industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants) on discharged pollution reduction in the Czech part of the intern… Show more

“…However, many studies use national standards to determine maximum or natural concentrations. In the Czech Republic, for example, Standard ČSN 75 7221 [6] Water quality-Classification of surface water quality [7][8][9] is used. In China, in turn, China's Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water GB 3838-2002 [10] are used [11][12][13][14].…”

“…Directive 2000/60/EC, known as the Water Framework Directive (WFD), establishes a legal basis for the protection of water bodies in all European Union member states. To this purpose, WFD challenges water resource managers to work on the evaluation and sustainable management of the water cycle, in which wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) have a crucial role [1]. Sustainability assessment of WWTPs through indicators such as those collected in the environmental footprint family [2] is vital to identify the impact of WWTPs on the environment and to improve the process towards cleaner, and more sustainable production [3].…”

“…Časová řada zachycená v datové sadě popisuje vývoj vypouštěného znečištění i míru, jakou čistírny odpadních vod přispívají k odstranění produkovaného znečištění. Datová sada již byla použita k analýzám na úrovni jednotlivých čistíren [5][6][7], dílčích povodí [8] i České republiky [9,10]. Datová sada může sloužit k dalšímu hodnocení opatření spojených s implementací příslušných směrnic EU a výzkumu v oblasti vodní stopy, udržitelného užívání vod a hodnocení dopadů lidské činnosti na životní prostředí.…”
