Abstract:OBJECTIVE: Wide surgical excision is the standard treatment for severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Because of the nature of HS, these wounds are often nonsterile, located in moist intertriginous regions, and closed under tension, increasing the risk for surgical site complications.
