Cloud is a collection encompassing a number of computers and servers that we find access to and is hosted by the internet. This technology provides capabilities for processing, storing and retrieving, support and etc. by way of the internet. Cloud computing consists of trustable services by future generation data centres that are based on virtual calculations and technologies and are provided by the internet. Now a day, numerous technologies are migrating from traditional systems to cloud. Off course, cloud can also be used as a tool for military and non-military goals. On the other hand, in this wide network where users are individuals and companies, in addition to shared use of resources, personal data is also placed in the network, need for security is very important. Frequently, users and organizations become more commonly and rapidly interested in using it when there is confidence in presence of high security methods in this service. In this paper, initially the effective role and advantages of cloud computing is evaluated in some large international military and non-military companies and organizations and ultimately security solution based on the Kalman filter is presented.

The fault tolerance method of virtual machines (VM) guarantees reliability to the service capability of cloud platforms. VM workloads are dynamic and uncertain, and thus, they affect the reliability and task processing capability of entire cloud platforms. In this study, a fault tolerance method based on the VM workload consolidation model was proposed to solve problems concerning the reliability and task processing capability of cloud platforms caused by VM workloads, thus improving the reliability of VMs and overall performance of cloud platforms. First, the method was analyzed on the basis of the distinct relationship of VM workload and VM reliability and task processing capability. Then, the workload state of VM was predicted and analyzed by linear regression using VM workload monitoring data, and the VM workload consolidation algorithm was constructed based on expected workload constraint and optimization of fault tolerance time. Finally, the fault tolerance method based on the VM workload consolidation model was compared with the Radom method and the Max method. Research results demonstrate the potential of the proposed method to improve VM reliability in cloud platforms by 20% and 47% compared with those for the Radom and Max methods, respectively. In the same workload phase, the task completion rate of the proposed method increased significantly (15% and 30%, and 22% and 30%), and the percentages were higher than those for the Radom and Max methods, respectively. Moreover, the proposed method shortened task response time. This study concludes that the workload consolidation of VMs can increase the reliability and task processing capability of VMs. This proposed method can provide technological support to the fault tolerance of VMs in cloud platforms.

1 Abstract-In this paper, we propose a method to model and analyze cost-aware fault tolerant strategy for cloud computing. First, Petri nets are used to describe the structure of cloud computing, including component, cloud service and cloud application, thus forming the fault tolerant model of cloud computing. Second, a dynamic fault tolerant strategy is proposed, which can dynamically make fault tolerant strategy with the lowest cost based on the current state and failed component. Third, we present operational semantics and related theories of Petri nets for establishing the correctness of our proposed method. We have also performed a series of simulations to evaluate our proposed approach. Results show that it can help reveal the structural and behavioral characteristics of cloud computing, and reduce the fault tolerant cost.
