The purpose of this study was to examine the measurement invariance of the Forms of Self-Criticising/Attacking & Self-Reassuring Scale (FSCRS) in terms of Item Response Theory differential test functioning in thirteen distinct samples (N = 7714) from twelve different countries. We assessed differential test functioning for the three FSCRS subscales, Inadequate-Self, Hated-Self and Reassured-Self separately. 32 of the 78 pairwise comparisons between samples for Inadequate-Self, 42 of the 78 pairwise comparisons for Reassured-Self and 54 of the 78 pairwise comparisons for Hated-Self demonstrated no differential test functioning, i.e. measurement invariance. Hated-Self was the most invariant of the three subscales, suggesting that self-hatred is similarly perceived across different cultures. Nonetheless, all three subscales of FSCRS are sensitive to cross-cultural differences. Considering the possible cultural and linguistic differences in the expression of self-criticism and selfreassurance, future analyses of the meanings and connotations of these constructs across the world are necessary in order to develop or tailor a scale which allows cross-cultural comparisons of various treatment outcomes related to self-criticism.

Background and Objectives: Type II diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases with irreparable complications for patients if it is not managed properly. This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of self-compassion training on glycemic control in patients with type II diabetes, presenting to Taleghani Diabetes Clinic in Kermanshah. Methods: This quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest design and a control group recruited patients with type II diabetes presenting to Taleghani Diabetes Clinic in Kermanshah during 2016. Twenty patients were selected through convenience sampling method and were randomly assigned into experimental group (n = 10) and control group (n = 10). The experimental group was offered group self-compassion training in 8 sessions (90 minutes each) and the control group did not receive any training. The groups recorded their blood glucose levels three times a day in a form (3 hours after breakfast, 3 hours after lunch and 2 hours after dinner). Data were analyzed using ANOVA and t-test in SPSS version 21 software. Results: The findings showed that after the intervention, the mean scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.001). Conclusions: Self-compassion training is effective in glycemic control in patients with diabetes. Therefore, it is suggested that therapists and psychologists use this method to control blood glucose level of patients with diabetes.

In industry, kaolin is widely employed as an additive to paper, rubber and ceramics, among other uses, and can be synthesized into zeolite. Zeolites have been hydrothermally synthesized using alumina and silica based on deposits (kaolin) sampled from region in Bangka- Belitung. The synthesis of Zeolite A based on kaolin through several process stages such as drying, grinding and sieving prior to the hydrothermal process. It is then calcined into metakaolin, followed by the addition of NaOH solution, heating, filtration and washing to obtain the synthesis. This study examines how assessment models can be built and used for financial, technical, and marketing feasibility analysis of synthesized Zeolite A from kaolin. A new optimization method used to estimate financing requirements of investment products is presented, as well as a new method to predict the optimal year to sell the product. The conclusion is that Net Present Value with a positive value, Pay Back Period, Internal Rate of Return 30.78% higher than the interest rate set at 12%, and marketing aspects show that the process is feasible.
