“…After 3 years of upper‐secondary study and training (Federal Act on Vocational and Professional Education and Training, ), AHAs can either work in healthcare institutions or enter tertiary‐level education to become RNs. Their duties are similar to general healthcare assistants or nurse aides, but they have more competence because of their 3 years of standardized education (Trede & Schweri, ).
