Abstract:This paper is about a new framework for high performance thread scheduling based on the work stealing principle when processors may run at different speed. We also take into account memory management problems. We hope that such framework could help multi-threaded or multi-core architects to rely on well founded mathematical results to build appropriate hardware/software schedulers that control the scheduling of threads.
