Women's Communication with Intimates and Acquaintances

Abstract: This study rated the communication behaviours, verbal and non-verbal, of women who discussed topics of low intimacy with a same-sex other (either an intimate friend or an acquaintance) and with an opposite-sex other (either an intimate friend or an acquaintance). Results indicated that there were interactions of gender of target person with degree of acquaintance. In discussions with both same-and opposite-sex acquaintances, the female participants seemed to take responsibility for keeping the conversation goi… Show more

“…A comparison of published c-numbers with the c-number measured at NOMAD is given in Fig. 5 scattered from 1 cm 3 V) for NOMAD in its current detector configuration measured at an SNS beam power of 876 kW, compared to the measured c-number for NIMROD at ISIS (digitized from [16]) and a calculated c-number for D4c at the ILL [17]. With the full detector coverage and SNS running at its design power of 1.44 MW NOMADs c-number is expected to be about a factor of 4 higher.…”

“…The reactor instrument D4c at ILL has a different Q-dependency for the c-number due to its different measurement principle. Its c-number is calculated from the flux on sample at k ¼0.5 Å, the detector solid angle and the detector efficiency at that energy [17,18] and is shown in Fig. 5.…”

“…The main DEMO parameters are given in Table 2. According to Sedano [22] and Gastaldi et al [25] as well as Boccaccini and Franza [26] the helium circuitry in the PCS will contain about 23 t helium; this figure is approximately the same for both blankets. The power load is divided up between blanket (85%) and divertor (15%).…”

“…Thus, 555 kg, or ca. 0.56 t, are produced annually in the HCPB, which is about 1% of the total helium inventory of 60 t. In the case of the HCLL reactor with lead as multiplier, various Pb isotopes are produced in the (n, 2n) reaction [26], and there is no α-particle emission. The amount of helium produced annually remains at 0.39 t.…”

“…Indeed [10] (see more details in [17]) noted that this is not the case: For every Boolean formula θ there is a formulae φ ∈ LD 2 so that for any q, there is an -test for θ-membership with q queries if and only if there is an -test for φ-membership using q queries. To see this let θ be a Boolean formula over a set variables X = {x 1 , .…”
