Introduction: Odontectomy is a surgical procedure to remove an impacted tooth. Some cases of odontectomy are performed under general anesthesia because it has risks and complications that need to be considered, such as a patient with mental or physical disorder, difficulty level of the impacted tooth, number of impacted teeth extracted, and operative duration. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of post-odontectomy complications under general anesthesia in RSGM Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional descriptive study using retrospective data of medical records of a patient who underwent odontectomy under general anesthesia from 2017 until 2018 in RSGM Unpad. Samples were taken using a purposive non-probability sampling technique by setting inclusion criteria such as undamaged medical records and providing patient data on the first and a week control visit. The variables, including age, gender, classification of impacted teeth, number of teeth, and complications, were assessed in this study. The minimum sample size was determined by using the Slovin formula. The minimum sample required is 94% - 95% confidence level and 5% margin of error. Result: The data that had been collected shows that the number of female patients (67%), male patients (37%), the most common age was 21-30 years (52%), and odontectomy in 4 third molars (73%). Odontectomy that performed on four third molars (73%) with the ordinary post odontectocmy complications found in the female patient, such as trismus (2%), prolonged pain (7%), edema (3%), paraesthesia (3%). Conclusion: The prevalence of post-odontectomy complications under general anesthesia in RSGM Universitas Padjadjaran Banding is relatively low.Keywords: prevalence; odontectomy; general anesthesia; complications; impacted tooth.

Introduction: Odontectomy is the most common procedure performed by oral and maxillofacial surgeons. The consideration of odontectomy cases in general anesthesia with certain factors, such as patient anxiety, mental or physical disorders, degree of difficulty in impacted teeth, disoriented patients, number of teeth performed odontectomy, and duration of surgery. Some complications after odontectomy, including swelling, trismus, and paresthesia often occur from the first day after odontectomy. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the complications on the first day after odontectomy of impacted mandibular third molar in general anesthesia at Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital during January – June 2020. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional retrospective using medical record data of patients diagnosed with class I, II, and III mandibular molar impaction based on clinical and panoramic x-rays and performed odontectomy of mandibular third molar impaction in general anesthesia at Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital for the period January - June 2020. Results: The obtained data were 186 cases from 98 patients. Data were obtained from secondary data through medical records of mandibular third molar impaction odontectomy patients in general anesthesia who were treated at the inpatient installation of RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin for the period during January to June 2020 to determine the characteristics of complications on the first day after odontectomy of impacted mandibular third molar in general anesthesia based on age, gender, and the classification of mandibular third molar impactions. The percentage of complications on the first day after odontectomy of impacted mandibular M3 in general anesthesia at Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital for the period during January - June 2020 showed that the largest number was found in complications of swelling as many as 41 people (54%), followed by trismus as many as 33 people (43%) and paresthesia were 2 patient (3%). Conclusion: The most common complications were swelling and trismus, where these complications were classified as mild and normal complications from odontectomy of impacted mandibular third molars. Вступ. Зуби мудрості-найзагадковіша частина людської анатомії, адже донині не визначено чітких меж прорізування цих молярів. Виділяють кілька основних класифікацій на підставі: кута нахилу та позиції зубного зачатка в кістці; стану прорізування; розміщення коренів. На основі скринінгу, який охоплює клінічне обстеження і огляд панорамних рентгенограм, з'ясовують розміщення зуба у щелепі. Зараз дуже поширене видалення третіх молярів без вагомої на те причини. Між іноземними лікарями триває дискусія про доцільність збереження цих зубів у людини. Мета-з'ясувати частоту прорізування, відсутність закладки та варіанти розташування зачатків третіх великих кутніх зубів нижньої щелепи у сучасної людини з фізіологічно сформованим прикусом. Методи дослідження. Щоб з'ясувати варіабельність розміщення третіх нижніх молярів у людей Західного регіону досліджено 400 ортопантомограм, класифікованих за віком, статтю, наявністю третіх нижніх молярів і відповідною стороною розміщення. Результати. Сума зубів обчислена загальною кількістю прорізаних, непрорізаних чи відсутніх зубів (окремо) однієї сторони у всіх категоріях. Визначено відсоткове співвідношення суми зубів певної групи однієї сторони до загальної кількості зубів у цій стороні. Визначено відсоткове співвідношення кількості зубів певної групи однієї сторони заданої вікової категорії до загальної кількості зубів цієї ж групи. Висновки. Обчислено, що відсоток пацієнтів з прорізаними зубами від загальної кількості осіб становить 35,29%. Причому серед них 58,5% осіб мають обидва зуби мудрості на нижній щелепі, що становить лише 20,65% від усіх пацієнтів. Виявлено, що найчастіше трапляється патологічне медіальне розташування третього моляра. Найменша кількість випадків припадає на язикове положення зуба у кістці. Ключові слова: нижні треті моляри, зуби мудрості, видалення інтактних вісімок, патологічне розміщення.
