Wideband low‐profile dual‐polarized dielectric patch antenna with metallic pins

Abstract: In this article, a lowprofile dual‐polarized dielectric patch antenna (DPA) using TM101 and TM121 modes is proposed for achieving the impedance bandwidth (BW) enhancement. By introducing four metallic pins in a dielectric patch resonator (DPR), the TM121 mode is shifted to low frequencies while TM101 mode is shifted to high frequencies.
