Abstract:In this letter, an 11 GHz centered wideband absorptive frequency selective surface (FSS) design is presented. The absorptive FSS is dual polarized, and it has wide transmission band and a wide absorption band at the lower frequency side of the transmission band. An octagon shape with parallel microstrips toward center connected with lumped element resistors at the edges is proposed for the resistive layer unit element.
