Whole-Genome Sequencing of Three ExtremophileBacillus sp. Strains Isolated from the Atacama Desert

Abstract

The Atacama Desert is home to many bacteria that use biofilm formation to protect themselves against the harsh environment. We isolated and sequenced three soil Bacillus subtilis isolates that were isolated from Atacama soil. These sequences will aid research in survival mechanisms of eubacteria in the Atacama Desert.
