“…On the other side of the equation, the ‘rural virtues’ of resilience and self‐reliance confer on caregivers an advantage in being able to cope, but may be a double‐edged sword. More resilient caregivers may bear a heavier caregiver burden masking underlying caregiver depression and emotional issues which could follow through into bereavement .
