Whistleblowing on accountingy-related misconduct: A synthesis of the literature

Abstract: Whistleblowers have been credited for uncovering financial scandals in companies globally, including Enron, Olympus Corporation, and WorldCom. Despite increasing support and incentives for whistleblowing, there generally remains reluctance to blow the whistle.
