“…Many current software development models have been criticized as not meeting the unique requirements of web application development [7,4] and accordingly there is a need to develop new models that address the needs of web application development [4]. “…Alternatively, an incremental process is recommended, incorporating activities that address the needs of web application development [6]. Despite these guidelines, there is evidence that most web development is still largely ad-hoc and researchers liken it to the early days of traditional software development [7,8].…”

“…It is from this that the analyst can view the interaction between users that allows for the transfer of tacit knowledge. Avison & Fitzgerald (1995) maintain, within SSM organisational change results in a learning process when theory and practice meet and affect each other. This is important for the transferral of tacit requirements, as tacit knowledge is included in the expertise and performance of the user.…”

“…Therefore the implicitness of tacit knowledge is largely ignored. Avison & Fitzgerald (1995) state with this approach there is a problem of users not really knowing what they require the new system to do. The system functions of the OO method describe what the system is supposed to do (Larman, 1998).…”
