The objective of this research is to adapt and validate a useful instrument to diagnose cyberbullying, provoked by intolerance towards cultural and religious diversity, identifying the profile of the aggressor and the victim. The study was carried out using the Delphi technique, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The selected sample was composed of 1478 adolescents, all students from Compulsory Secondary Education of Spain. The instrument items were extracted from relevant scales on the topic. The initial questionnaire was composed of 52 items and three underlying constructs. After validation with EFA (n = 723), the structure was checked, and the model was later corroborated with CFA (n = 755) through structural equations (RMSEA = 0.05, CFI = 0.826, TLI = 0.805). The reliability and internal consistency of the instrument were also tested, with values for all dimensions being higher than 0.8. It is concluded that this new questionnaire has 38 items and three dimensions. It has an acceptable validity and reliability, and can be used to diagnose cyberbullying caused by the non-acceptance of cultural and religious diversity in Compulsory Secondary Education students.

OBJECTIVES Cardiac surgery training has become more challenging as patients and their diagnoses become more complex. Our goal was to develop a multicategorical assessment model for evaluating residents in cardiac surgery. This model is intended to ensure goal-directed progress in their training as well as to recognize and support their surgical talents. METHODS We developed a new questionnaire in a multistage, 3-round process based on the Delphi method ‘estimate-talk-estimate’, using 55 competencies, including 38 general and 17 domain-specific competencies. Each competency is evaluated with 1 or more questions, to which 1 (not competent) to 6 (very competent) points can be chosen as an answer. RESULTS The resulting model achieved 2 main goals: first, presenting a well-defined competency list for cardiac surgical training and second, providing an objective and realistic evaluation of trainees’ abilities. Residents were assessed by all trainers to achieve a high level of objectivity. CONCLUSIONS This evaluation model is highly objective, because residents are evaluated by multiple trainers. It allows individual support and enables better transparency in residency training. Talents and skills are evaluated, recognized and adopted as a base for individual feedback and personalized training programmes.

Defining Destigmatizing Design Guidelines for Use in Sexual Health-Related Digital Technologies: A Delphi Study

ObjectiveStigma has been recognized as a significant issue in sexual health, yet no specific guidelines exist to support digital health development teams in creating stigma-alleviating sexual health digital platforms. The purpose of this study was to develop a set of design guidelines that would serve as a reference point for addressing stigma during the design of sexual health-related digital platforms.Materials and MethodsWe conducted a 3-round Delphi study among 14 researchers in stigma and sexual health. A preliminary list of 28 design guidelines was generated from a literature review. Participants appraised and critiqued the clarity and usefulness of the preliminary list and provided comments for each item and for the overall group of items at each round. At each round, a content validity index and an interquartile range were calculated to determine the level of consensus regarding the clarity and usefulness of each guideline. Items were retained if there was high consensus and discarded if there was no consensus after the three rounds.ResultsNineteen design guidelines achieved consensus. Most of them were content-related guidelines and sought to address the emotional concerns of patients that could potentially aggravate stigma. The findings also reflected modern stigma management strategies of making stigma a societal attribute by challenging, exposing, and normalizing stigma attributes via web platforms.ConclusionTo address stigma via digital platforms, developers should not just concentrate on technical solutions but seriously consider content-related and emotional design components that are likely to result in stigma
