When Descriptive Norms Backfire: Attitudes Induce Undesirable Consequences during Disaster Preparation

Abstract: This study aimed to examine the adverse effects of descriptive norms in the context of disaster preparation, although the cumulative evidence has demonstrated that descriptive norms desirably promote social behavior.
