The Internet of Things (IoT) has been shown to be very valuable for Business Process Management (BPM), for example, to better track and control process executions. While IoT actuators can automatically trigger actions, IoT sensors can monitor the changes in the environment and the humans involved in the processes. These sensors produce large amounts of discrete and continuous data streams, which hold the key to understanding the quality of the executed processes. However, to enable this understanding, it is needed to have a joint representation of the data generated by the process engine executing the process, and the data generated by the IoT sensors. In this paper, we present an extension of the event log standard format XES called DataStream. DataStream enables the connection of IoT data to process events, preserving the full context required for data analysis, even when scenarios or hardware artifacts are rapidly changing. The DataStream extension is designed based on a set of goals and evaluated by creating two datasets for real-world scenarios from the transportation/logistics and manufacturing domains.

The holographic principle states that the whole is contained in each of its parts. In this study, we apply the holographic concept to business studies, with a particular focus on how business transformation might have an impact on the growth of a region. Following an experimental approach, mixed methods research was used to collect descriptive data from a set of firms in Medellín (Colombia). Two measurements (MET1 and MET2) were performed as part of the management model (MM) implemented, which allowed us to quantify the variables defined in the MM. Once a transformation was evidenced, a second measurement was carried out to compare the results and identify improvements in each dimension of the intervened firms. Additionally, the findings of this research (conducted over the course of eight years) were contrasted, from a holographic perspective and per economic sector, with reports on the region’s economic growth provided by organisations such as the local chambers of commerce. Through the implementation of an MM developed by the Universidad de Envigado in a set of firms in the region, this study contributes to the literature on how the university impacts the industry through knowledge transfer.

Penggunaan digitalisasi yang belum optimal akan menciptakan tantangan dalam kecepatan waktu, kesalahan prosedur, dikhawatirkan menurunkan proses bisnis karena menurunnya kepuasan pelanggan. Proses bisnis membutuhkan bantuan teknologi bagi pelaku UMKM makanan tradisional di Tasikmalaya untuk meningkatkan efesiensi operasional. Perlu penelitian lebih mendalam tentang faktor yang membuat proses bisnis effektif pada UMKM. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hasil implementasi sistem informasi akuntansi terhadap proses bisnis berdasarkan sistem yang sudah diterapkan sebelumnya pada UMKM makanan tradisional Tasikmalaya dalam mendukung keberlanjutan usaha di era digital. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan metode deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan wawancara kepada subjek penelitian yakni pihak manajemen makanan tradisional Tasikmalaya sebagai informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi sistem informasi akuntansi sangat membantu proses bisnis UMKM makanan tradisional. sistem informasi akuntansi memberikan kontribusi untuk proses bisnis mencakup tingkat kepuasan pelanggan, efisiensi operasional, waktu siklus proses, tingkat kesalahan. Saran untuk manajemen usaha agar mengadopsi teknologi dengan system informasi akuntansi untuk meningkatkan proses bisnis. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengeksplorasi teknologi lain yang memudahkan manajemen UMKM mengembangkan bisnisnya. Kata kunci: Sistem Komputerisasi; Proses bisnis; UMKM
