What Part does Middle Leadership Play in Higher Education?

Abstract

The paper aims to analyzes what part does middle leadership play in higher education. Middle leaders in higher education include roles with represented administrative and management accountability. In China, roles of middle leaders are defined as formal leader, their accountability is managing and monitoring (Early & Bubb, 2004). The paper starts with leadership, and introduce the main part-middle leadership, includes reflection of middle leader, previous reflection of middle leadership and middle leadership as relational leadership. Maybe some limitations exist in this study, more development will be made in future.
