What is the role of metabolic syndrome and obesity for postoperative atrial fibrillation after coronary bypass grafting?

Abstract: Background Postoperative atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia seen after cardiac surgery. We aimed to determine the effect of obesity and metabolic syndrome on postoperative atrial fibrillation, whether they are independent risk factors, and their effect level.
