What is... a Graphical Design?

Abstract: Graphical designs are quadrature rules for graphs 𝐺 = (𝑉, 𝐸). Broadly speaking, a graphical design is a relatively small subset of vertices that captures the global behavior of functions 𝑓 ∢ 𝑉 β†’ ℝ.
