Abstract: Familial hypertriglyceridemia is a genetic disorder marked by excessive production of very low-density lipoproteins, resulting in elevated serum triglyceride levels. This can lead to various medical conditions, including acute pancreatitis. In cases of recurrence, it may progress to chronic pancreatitis.
