Abstract

Increasing globalization combined with crises that affect everyone, such as pandemics, climate change and armed conflicts, pose major challenges for value-based business ethics. Added to this is the enormous disparity between poor and rich people worldwide. It is no longer just the organizational power of the individual state that is needed, as the Jena-based entrepreneur Ernst Abbe assumed, but that of the global community in order to establish life-serving global regulations. In addition, the book shows how companies and managers can act and lead in a mindful and value-oriented manner under today's conditions.
