Wernicke Encephalopathy in an Elderly Patient Due to Chronic Malnutrition From an Atypical Diet

Abstract: Wernicke encephalopathy has traditionally been associated with chronic alcohol abuse leading to thiamine deficiency. Clinical symptoms include mentation change, gait ataxia, and oculomotor abnormalities.
