Wellbore Models GWELL, GWNACL, and HOLA User's Guide

Abstract: under Contract No. DE-AC03-76SF00098. 1.0 INTRODUCTION This report describes three multi-component, multi-feedzone geothermal wellbore simulators developed. These simulators reproduce the measured flowing temperature and pressure profiles in flowing wells and determine the relative contribution, fluid properties (e.g. enthalpy, temperature) and fluid composition (e.g. CO 2 , NaCl) of each feedzone for a given discharge condition. The three related wellbore simulators that will be discussed here are HOLA, GWELL… Show more

“…After this come NG sets of NH flowing bottomhole pressure data in -77 -format 8E10.4. The data in Table 6 were generated with the HOLA wellbore simulator (Aunzo et al, 1991) for a 0.2 m (≈ 8 inch) inside diameter well of 1,000 m feed zone depth with 7 bars wellhead pressure.…”

“…INL researchers obtained permission to interface those geophysical models with their existing reservoir model and TETRAD. 150 They initially developed TETRAD code modifications-including geophysics output and new keywords for defining rock types on a regional basis-with test cases using direct current (DC) resistivity, self potential, and microgravity models.…”
