Weighted joint calibration for interferometric SAR

Abstract: Calibration is a processing procedure for across-track interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) to achieve an accurate three-dimensional location. A calibration technique, called weighted joint calibration, for the generation of wide-area geocoded digital elevation models (DEMs) is proposed. It calibrates multiple InSAR scenes simultaneously, and allows reducing the number of required ground control points (GCPs) by using tie points (TPs). This approach may ensure the continuity of threedimensional loc… Show more

“…Assuming that the initial value of the obtained interferometric system parameter vector is X and the real value is X, for the calibration based on control points, the elevation at the n (n = 1, 2, • • • , N) control points is set to h n , and the single point objective optimization objective function can be expressed as [18]:…”

“…The block adjustment method can correct the systematic errors of InSAR-DEM and improve the relative and absolute accuracies. According to the error model, the existing InSAR-DEM adjustment methods can be divided into two categories: the methods based on the rigorous [9]- [11] and general model [6], [7], [12]. The former refers to the adjustment method based on the "Range-Doppler-Phase" (RDP) model [10].…”
