Weave pattern of accessory heads to the anterior digastric muscle

Abstract: During routine anatomical dissection, we discovered bilateral superficial and deep heads of the anterior belly of the digastric muscle with concomitant accessory heads arranged in a weave pattern in the submental triangle. In addition, the left stylohyoid muscle coursed deep into the intermediate tendon of the digastric muscle bellies.
